Brockville Ontario Speedway: Pat O'Brien won on Saturday night

BROCKVILLE, ON - It took the warmest temperatures of 2010 to bring the Iceman back to the front of the field at Brockville Ontario Speedway.  Kingston veteran Pat O'Brien expanded his lead atop the 358 Modified point standings with his first win of the season on Saturday night.

O Brien didn't take long to work his way through early traffic to take the lead of the 30 lap event.   The patient and calculating style of the veteran was a perfect fit for a tricky race track on this night as he outdistanced early leader Bobby Herrington for the victory.  Danny O Brien was third in front of Tim O Brien and Stephane LaFrance.

Chris Raabe scored win number 5 of the season but not without a fight from Chris Herbison.  Raabe was on the gas early coming from deep in the field, before getting past a very impressive Kenny Polite for the top spot on a restart.   Herbison gave the Napanee youngster everything he could handle before settling for second followed by Dylan Evoy, Polite and a late charging Randy Earl.

Kevin Fetterly is the new driver to beat in the Street Stocks.  Fetterly made it three straight holding off Brock Cullen in the closing laps.  Nick Gauvreau, Brian Billings and Steve Kearney rounded out the fast five.  Jean Marc Larose had to contend with the biggest field of the season in the Rookie division as 19 cars took the green, but the result stayed the same with the 003 back in victory lane.   John Gifford came home second with Ron Day in a brand new machine in third followed by Joe Mc Nichols and Steve Laplante.  Wayne Riddell also managed to fend off a late challenge for Vintage honours over Jeff Ciglich, John Gibson, Steve Arbuthnot and Jason Powers.
