NEWMARKET, ON - Tiemersma Motorsports is pleased to announce the start of their 2009 racing season with Tony Tiemersma taking to the track this Saturday night at Peterborough Speedway. Most of the winter was spent rebuilding, revamping and replacing on the car but, the past few weeks have seen both crews racing to put the finishing touches on Tony’s Limited Late Model which will be raced under the #7 once again in 2009 while travelling to multiple tracks.
Concurrently work has been moving at a feverish pace on the Super Late Model side of the shop. The body of the #7 Wayfreight super late model of Derrick Tiemersma was completed last week, while the finishing touches are being made to the suspension this week. In the meantime Matt at Speedy Automotive has put the finishing touches on the new motor, and has the dyno slated for this weekend, so if all goes well this weekend we hope to have an engine to install in the car by early next week.

We would also like to announce Tiemersma Motorsports first podium of the season, as our driver development program moves into its second season, with Gerrit Tiemersma finishing 2nd in the first race of the season in the novice class at Goodwood Kartways.
