Lucas Oil Products Canada continues partnership with Schippling Motorsports for fifth season
MISSISSAUGA, Ontario -- Dragster driver T.J. Schippling will continue to receive support from primary backer Lucas Oil Products Canada. 2009 will mark the fifth anniversary of the primary partnership.
Schippling was recently given the opportunity to speak at length about this partnership at the Canadian Motorsports Expo (CME) in January. He was part of a driver’s panel on stage from all disciplines of Canadian motor sports.
“Lucas Oil Canada is a fantastic company to represent,” addressed Schippling to the crowd in attendance. “I am very fortunate to have their support and the confidence they instill in our program.”
Schippling talked about how synonymous Lucas Oil’s superior product line has become with the team he and his father Thom have built. He spoke about the initiatives Schippling Motorsports was implementing to promote the Lucas brand. He was also thankful for the notoriety and credibility his primary partnership has added to the program.
T.J. said he was excited about the upcoming season. “The CME is an excellent way to kick off our fifth year with Lucas Oil and we are on the verge of some very exciting plans for 2009. We have scheduled several appearances leading up to the first race. We are about to announce our race schedule as well as some new promotional programs. 2009 is shaping up to be our busiest and most newsworthy year yet.”
T.J. has driven the Lucas Oil/ Dixie Chopper dragster since 2001. He was the ‘05 Top Dragster Champion at Grand Bend Motorplex. The team has four consecutive top five finishes with Lucas Oil as the primary sponsor. First (’05); second (tied for first in ‘06); and two fourth place finishes respectively. Schippling holds licenses for several classes including Top Alcohol Dragster. He has traveled the quarter mile in five and a half seconds at over 255 mph.
