Varney Motor Speedway: Season Preview

VARNEY SPEEDWAY PREPARES FOR 39TH SEASON

VARNEY, ON - Even though the first official night got washed out everything is a go for two great nights of racing action starting this Saturday at 7 PM as the green flag will drop on the 39th season of Varney Motor Speedway, then again Sunday night at 7PM for the season’s first invitational race bring in drivers from across the province.

The track is currently undergoing a major change over in its scoring system to benefit both drivers and fans alike. Transponders will now be used in all cars racing at the fast quarter mile track in Ontario to record lap time and speed. With this new added technology fans will be able to know exactly what position their favourite driver is in as this system will be able to feed the scoring tower obtained from Michigan Speedway a couple of years ago showing the top 10 positions.

All the regular classes are back Stock 4’s, Street Stocks, Super Streets, All Pro Modified, the Varney Late Models along with the Trains and the Vans. This year the Trains will run on both nights of every long weekend and for Saturday nights of long weekends we have an on track autograph session at intermission so come out and meet your favourite drivers. Then on every Sunday night of long weekends we will be hosting Invitational races for all classes bring in drivers from across the Province along with this we will also be having a Women’s Challenge race along with King of the Hill spectator racing at intermission.
