Can you believe the season opening event is here?
Saturday May 2nd 2009 is the Opening practice for the Tillsonburg Outlaws at the Tillsonburg Indoor Speedway. Memberships will be available from 9 am to 3pm at Chesterman Power Products. Practice time will run continually during those hours. Although mainly for our club, practice day is open to members of any Ontario clubs that would like to try running on the unique indoor layout.
Please have all your safety gear and Kart ready to go for this first date. 10 points will be given to every 2009 competitor that practices on Saturday. That's certainly a good way to get your season started.
The track progress is coming nicely. Tuesday night we watered heavily in preparation for the rolling it will get Friday night right before the practice. If you look closely at the flaggers view of the track, you will see the new caution lights we will be using this year. The track exit is changed slightly this year to clean things up in that area. Pre-race staging will be in the former pit area. All pits will be outside for 2009.
Tuesday May 5 will be the first race of the season.
